For over 30 years, I have been helping people achieve their goals.
I work with private clients and students in the exploration, identification, and the setting of goals for their careers and personal lives. My life purpose includes helping people determine career direction and life plans by uncovering their dreams, values and talents.
With my master’s degree in Counseling from Loyola University-Chicago, my National Counselor Certification, my bachelor’s degree in Business from Iowa State University, and 30+ years experience, I have helped over 10,000 people make serious life changes.
I am driven by the joy I get when students or clients realize their potential and tap into it by making an intentional and attainable plan.Â
Too many people miss out on opportunities in life because they don’t recognize when the opportunities appear. When you have a plan, the opportunities will be made evident, and with a little bravery (and support), you can reach out at grab them.
Retirement Coaching
Over five years ago, I began to think about my approaching retirement. I became very interested in adapting my personal and career counseling skills for this upcoming stage in life. This resulted in me becoming certified as a Retirement Coach through Retirement Options in 2017.Â
This certification has equipped me to effectively develop the program "Retirement Freedom Framework" that assists people like you, who are approaching retirement or who are in retirement. The goal is to help you take the driver’s seat in this new stage of life. You will want to take full advantage of this precious and unique time, and live it with vitality, curiosity and meaning!
The top four issues that everyone must address prior to retirement are:
1. How will you maintain or create meaningful social relationships?
2. How will you find purpose?
3. How will you assure that learning, healthy activities, a positive outlook, and flexibility will be in your life (I snuck in 4 topics on this one:)?
4. How will you create structure in your days, weeks, and life?
Hobbies play an important role in everyone's life. I am also a musician. I love playing the drums, creating music with my friends and getting folks up on the dance floor. What hobbies will be a part of your retirement?Â
